Al-Imam Malick Islamic Institute (AMII) under Sumpundoukati Society, Kanifing, The Gambia, is committed to protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all information collected, stored, or processed through our official website, student portal, and internal systems. This policy applies to students, parents, staff, and visitors of our Islamic and Arabic educational programs.
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard personal and institutional data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Student personal data (admission forms, birth certificates, exam results for Junior/Senior Secondary) is classified as confidential.
Our official website uses modern security standards:
Personal information submitted through admission forms, contact forms, or during administrative meetings after working hours is handled with care and used only for legitimate educational purposes: enrollment, examinations (First Term 20 Feb 2027, Second Term 19 June 2027), and communication about cultural week and student trips to Banjul, Kachikally, Abuko, and Fathala Zoo Senegal.
Only authorized staff have access to sensitive information. Access is granted based on role:
Information is stored securely on encrypted servers and retained only as long as necessary for administrative, educational, or legal purposes. Graduation certificates, WAMY membership documents, and KSA recognition letters are archived permanently with restricted access.
When using external services (hosting, analytics, or World Assembly of Muslim Youth - WAMY platform), we ensure they follow industry-standard security practices and do not sell student data. We are an official member of WAMY.
In the event of a security breach or suspicious activity, we take immediate action to investigate, contain, and resolve the issue in coordination with the General Secretariat for Islamic and Arabic Education in The Gambia. Incidents affecting our Best Performing Institute award data or Quran Competition results are reported within 24 hours.
This Information Security Policy may be updated periodically to reflect improvements, new regulations, or changes in technology. For questions about this policy, contact the institute administration in Kanifing after working hours. Students are encouraged to review this policy during Cultural Week and administrative sessions.
